Thumbs down Just got back from dealership, need help...

I was just at my local ford dealership I was attemtping to get a fog light replaced, but apparently since the damage was caused by "road debris" Its supposed to cost me 130.00 F#$*ing dollars to get it replaced. I had heard of many others getting theirs replaced and from what they said it sounded as if it was free/covered by warranty. Can anybody help me out here, I dont have a wad of cash to friggin blow on one damn fog light. Anybody locally (Tampa Area) who knows where I can get it fixed, or anyone who knows of some alternatives for the lights (ie. stronger ones, or covers or soemthing), thanks ahead of time for anyones respones.
Peace,
-Patrick

Thank you very much, if anyone has any other options or other ideas as to what to replace the stock fogs with that would be really helpful also.

They are not an SVT Dealer, but try Gator Ford at Exit 10 on I-4. I bought my truck there as well as my mom's Explorer. I have used their service department and they were fantastic.

If the "road Debris" is noticeable asa crack on the surface you
might have trouble. IF it is like all of the ones I have seen the face of
the outside of the lense is stillintact and the "cracks" are from the
heat cracking the plastic.

Good luck

I cant stress this enough... call SVT direct, and have them call your service manager at the dealer your going to. TRUST ME, after being turned down at a few dealerships, i got fed up, and called SVT direct. They asked me for the name and number of the manager of the dealership, and not to much longer, i got a call back saying, "when can you come in for your warrenty work."
The problem is, when dealers look it up in their system for defective parts, nothing comes up.. some kind of number they have to enter to see if there is a big demand for a recall.

CALL SVT DIRECT!!!

I have a foglight you can have that is not perfect but will fit an 01 or 02 truck. the lens has a slight crack but was hard to see. It come with out a light bulb, just pay the shipping (actual cost)
PM me if interested, that is if PM's work here.. I never tried them if not email me at svt4rd@yahoo.com
