A lot of speed traps the past couple of days. Just saw another pseudo unmarked (Markings on the side but no light bar) on the way home from work. That was about a minute after I wrecked a ricer on the parkway.

I know it had to be a race car. It was an Acura Type R (Type R means Race, right?). New fart can exhaust, high wing in the back (to keep the rear wheels planted at high speeds I guess.) It was pretty funny actually. The guy was messing with me for about 2 miles. Well I followed him through the EZ Pass lane at the toll (glued to him). When he left the toll, I got on it, drove around him and got in front of him. He eventually caught up to me and wanted to race again. I'm all in to racing, like if it was close the first time but it wasn't. About a minute later, the unmarked was cruising up the right lane doing 55. Good thing I didn't race again.

CHP in CA Has

All White 2002 Camaro with low profile all clear light bars and on occasion I see a Black and White slick top Volvo Sedan. The Volvo was a big suprise as he came up fast behind me and it was early moring and the car looked like an every day joe car. I'm glad I got out of his way instead of speeding up.

There are several unmarked cars around in Arlington. I've seen mostly blue Crown Vics and the "stealth" white crown Vics.

Grapevine has a few camaro cops that run up and down 114, they try to get you to run, generally pacing you from behind, all over your ***. As soon as you take off the pace you and then pull you over.

I'm sure it would be fairly simple to get one of their tickets dismissed, but most people just pay and move on.

I've seen police here use tauruses and Crown vics with out of state plates, dark tinted windows, but when they light up, the whole dash and rear deck come alive. I dont know which dept. uses them though. I've also seen a black supercrew doing the same thing. The other sneaky bastards are those FHP camaros with the low lightbars. FHP is also taking jurisdiction from local police on a lot of main roads here (us1, red road, kendall, etc...) and setting up their own speedtraps. The other trick they have here are the small incorporated areas that ticket passers by for 3mph over and make their "village" (it's not pinecrest dammit you're in Miami!!!! Same with my stupid area palmetto bay. 6 months ago there were no cops here and it was unincorporated dade county, Now its palmetto bay and i'm finding new speedtraps every day)

Stupid Revenue machines!!!

Undercover L rumor

A buddy of mine moved to AZ and told me there's an undercover L in Mesa down the street from him. I don't live there, but he claims to have befriended the guy, raced, and waxed him once with his chevelle. He tends to BS a LOT so either it's just some guy with an L, or an undercover with an f150.

Someone from that area may want to chime in and possibly confirm this. I find it hard to believe that there's not an undercover L somewhere in this world. They're too addicting to ignore

The unmarked cars just make me be on the lookout and not watching traffic as much as I should. I guess the Police cant buy all their new radar equipment unless they write tickets to cover the cost...then they just use it to catch more people and round and round we go.
Preventing speeding doesn't bring any revenue in. All these vehicles are a waste of time IMO, just put out some police bikes and they are better for traffic.

Little town called Fowlerville here had a Neon Interceptor for awhile...I would hate to be the trooper that got assigned to that sled....even the local kids must have been making fun of him....

Here in the Lexington, Ky area, we have a SVT 2001 (I believe it's a 2001) mustang bright Red. I talked to him last year at BP I get gas at. He said that they were going to get a 2003 SVT stang this year, and he said it will be all decked out too. So if you see a SVT stang in this area, look first before you try running him .
(On a side note, he dame near hit me last year in a right hand corner while I was still in my 97 F150. He was chasing a older stang (99, 00) out Ashgrove Road.
