For those of you that read the other thread you'll know that my '03 L doesn't have the tint stripe across the top of the windshield in front of the mirror and sunvisors.





well, i got to work this morning and took a drive around the lot looking at our inventory. It appears that ALL F-series trucks (F-150,250,350) and Econoline vehicles for 2003 have the clear windshield without the tint? I don't know why they made this change. The 2002 truck sitting side by side with the '03s still have the older style tinted glass. I guess I'll be tinting the top of the windshield after all

Ford saved .03 per truck

 

That's wierd. I guess next is the rear window for no tint. Nake it look like a family truck

 

I remember my '95 Lightning came without tint.

Just before I was about to have it tinted a shovel fell off a truck in front of me and broke the non-tinted windshield. So I replaced it with a tinted one.

I have never really figured out if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
