Question Shaker Hood

After seeing all the aftermarket hoods you can purchase, I'm leaning towards the look of a Shaker Hood. Is this modification expensive? I figure you can just modify the existing stock hood and get a Shaker kit. If anyone has any information on where and if it is possible to modify my stock hood, please reply. I have a stock 5.4 on a 4X4 S/C, if this info helps.

Thanks

The kit includes everything and usually can be bought for around $850 shipped.

I don't know where you are going to buy just a shaker but good luck.

I asked this question some time ago and was told that the shakers were only available for the SuperCharged engines. I guess they don't make the hardware for the N/A engines.

Makes sense.......the shaker mounts to the upper upper plenum and blower.

Lightbulb Shaker Hood

Interesting......Well maybe here is something to think about. The new Mustang Mach 1 is not supercharged, yet I understand it is the 4.6 and not the 5.4, but it is equiped with a Shaker Hood. Thoughts on this? Or maybe my lack of modification knowledge is keeping me from seeing the overall picture of wanting to put this on my truck. Let me know what you guys think.

I'm sure a little creative fabrication ran make a mount for no blown engines.
