I installed a Plasma Booster ignition system

last weekend. Here is a link to my install info(on pg. 2):

http://www.nloc.net/forum/showthread...5&pagenumber=1

I seem(hard to tell for sure) to have less low rpm misfire(cold plugs) now and am still checking my mpg.

I plan to dyno my L in a few weeks and will do a "before and after" as all you have to do to eliminate the booster is to remove(wrap the connector in tape) the ground connector.

Here is an article on it:

Hey, please continue with the feedback on this item; quite a discussion over at NLOC on this topic.

I am going to install one by the 18th of Jan. I realize my 02HD isn't exactly a lightning, but I will do a before/after with it.

Actually, we were the first to distribute the Plasma Booster in the Lighting community, and have seen very nice ET improvements with it, especially in these supercharged engines, even more so with raised boost.

It's the only thing we've seen that will actually raise power and lower ET's for the COP ignition that actually works, and have been using them for some time now, as well as providing them to other Lightning tuners.

We also distribute the Plasma Direct, which are the hotter individual coil packs to replace the factory units, however, they're about 1/2" too tall for the stock fuel rails on the F-150's & Mustangs, and very expensive. The Plasma Booster is the way to go on these vehicles, much more cost-effective.

Anyone interested in this product can give us a call for pricing & availability, etc.

Mike I don't know alot about the plasma booster so maybe you could help me understand... When we add mods to our trucks, we then install cooler burning plugs.. Does'nt the plasma boost add extra spark and heat????

PEaCE............ Happy 200333333333333333

Thumbs up

Nice info LightninRod, looks like a good mod for around $300. The power added all across the powerband is what is nice...its not all just top end, plus a mileage increase would be nice too!
Maybe we can get a tax break for decreasing emissions? LOL

Mark.

Superchips,

I asked this question on the NLOC Board but didn't get an answer. Does this change the Spark Plug I use and the Gap of the Plug? I now use NGK TR 5s

How about a GP??

Jim
