I believe Smknjoe made mid 460 rwhp and 540 something torque with just a Swanson chip and filter kit, a t/b and a Kenne Bell blower. Skip

OK Dale, share your secret. How did you get an L to not down shift at such a low rpm? Have not seen an automatic tranny vehicle can not collect data at rpm below ~3400 rpm because of the downshift to second, thus we can not record our torque peaks. Would appreciate the info since I am scheduled to dyno on Thursday.

1BADTK,

The dealer was curious on the mods I did so they sent me up the street to the Dodge dealer were they had a Dyno. As undelieveable as it sounds I barely know how to check the oil, What is SAE thing you are talking about? Freedom Ford only gave me this copy being they paid for the Dynoing. What am i missing?

bobcmt-

One of the programs on my chip is a "dyno" program... Basically it doesnt downshift once it gets into 3rd gear...

So I can get it into 3rd, back down to whatever RPM I want to start the pull at, then nail it

Fun stuff...

SAE figures in correction factors for altitude, temp, humidity, etc; so similarily modded trucks will dyno the same in the mountains of CO as at sea level in VA or the cold air of MN vs the hot air of FL.
