SRT-10 Quad (Pics Included)
Found this link on one of the boards. It is a quad cab SRT-10 with the viper engine. Looks like they dropped the 24" rims, look like they are 18's or 20's. Looks like a regular quad cab with a 500hp motor. Check out the whimpy looking exhaust pipes.
Looks phucking ugly!!!!!!

Looks like a typical Dodge. Hard to tell from those pics if I like it. I usually don't like new vehicles the first time I see them. The guage pod could be cool though. The pea shooter exhaust has got to go and it needs fatter tires. Put some 2 1/2" tailpipes on or something.
Yup,
20's are offered now as optional on 1500's. No suprise it has an auto. I'll bet the transmission issue is what has delayed release. 6 speed manual sounds cool but not driveable for most in this application without some serious weight transfer.

Notice that you can't verify any of the info? The link at the top to the "original" author is broken. The first line of the review is about a "manuf" Dodge SRT-10.
I don't think this is the THE DODGE built SRT-10. It's just some one who has put a VPlease send instant cancellation information to this email addresser engine into a Dodge truck. That's prbably why they used an auto tranny.... Is the 6 speed even out yet? I guess you could use a Viper 6 speed? hmmmm the stick and linkage would be VERY tricky....
I don't buy it.

Found another link, that reports Dodge will be introducing a quad cab SRT-10 with the viper motor. The picks in the first post show the vehicle has 650 miles...test vehicle perhaps.

The stakes keep going up in the high performance full size truck category.
As reported by Car-Truck.com earlier this week, look for Chrysler PVO to announce pricing for the 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 and to also introduce a Quad Cab version of the V10 powered performance truck at the 2003 Chicago Auto Show in
mid-February.
Sources have told PUTC that a push button starter on the Ram SRT-10, similar to the Dodge Viper's, will bring this engine to life for owners and that the 8.1-liter V10 engine will be replaced in the next few years with a new V10 HEMI with power output expected in the 600+ hp range.
Also look for Ford SVT to introduce their first-ever SVT concept vehicle next month in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show. It will be a sneak peak at the next generation Lightning, based on the 2004 F-150, and rumor has power figures at around 450hp.

Looking at the pictures, you can see that it's wearing a Michigan 'Manufacturer's Plate'. This alone isn't proof that it's owned by DCX- Manufacturer plates seem to be handed out to all sorts of automobile related companies in Mi, not just true manufacturers.
The most solid evidence that this is a factory owned vehicle is the motor. Comparing the underhood pictures with those of the new Viper, it's clear that this is the new generation V10 (silver intake plenum, as opposed to red, and revised valve cover graphics.) A new Viper engine would definitely be made out of unobtainium at this point, as there are neither any wrecks to pull the motor from nor would you be able to order a complete longblock from your friendly neighborhood Dodge dealer at this point.
Most likely this is a mule, in which Chrysler is testing the powertrain. I wouldn't even call it a prototype. Maybe it will be produced, maybe not.
They better hope this is not a true representation of the production model. It'll take more than a shiny red starter button to make up for the 25 lbs of fake woodgrain on the dash and the wimpy 120 mph speedometer.
Also, the hood scoop is completely different from all the other pictures I've seen.
