It is the Belltech 3/4 (or 2/3 for Lightnings) drop. I fully expect the front to settle a little bit more, but it looks about as level as it can. I will try to get some pics in the sunlight today.

Sporkdevil, if you aren't comfortable with this install, then I would recommend paying someone to put the hangers on. The rest of the kit is a breeze, but the hangers are a nightmare. Unless you have a plasma cutter, expect a considerable amount of work. Most places will only charge around $200 to install hangers.

I had a 2 degree shim with the shackles installed, but now I have the 6 degree shim that came with the kit. Is this sufficient for the pinion angle, or do I need more? The truck doesn't seem to hold traction off the line quite the same.

We can take a look at it again.... I have 6deg with my kit as well. You are just planting the tires even more by being lower. I picked up 60 foot just by lowering the truck, BUT... not on street tires...

We will revisit your setup....

BOO-YAH!) and i should be getting the edelbrock shocks with it (tuned to that drop kit). it looks like a 4/6. and oh yeah, what tools do you need for installation? i'm trying to do everything myself, but i'm quite new to automechanics (or atleast actually doing work myself).
If you go with 22's, get a 4/6 drop.

This is exactly what mine will look like once complete on Friday....

Why do you want to be that low? You will need a C-notch for sure....

Here is the same Bell Tech Kit with 22's

the rear sags too much for me on the belltech 3/4 kit. is there a kit out there that has the back end up at least another inch or so?
I was thinking of using the Eibach front coils and just 2" rear shackles... leads to less installation headaches as well.

If you look how Audio & myself have it setup, you can see its level. The rear shackels have holes to adjust ride height....

I would say it depends on where you drive your truck. I dont see a need but many others do... Mine does hit on a REALLY hard bump....

OK, to do the rear hanger part of the kit an air hammer makes the job easier? So, you cut the heads off the rivits and then you just have a stud. Then you take the air hammer, with the pointed attachment tool and put the air hammer in the center of the stud and start to hammer on it? Does this sound right? and the stud should shoot out and leave you with the hole for the new bolt?

Thanks,

I went and bought a 4" angle grinder. It made quick work of the rivet heads. I had a 1/2" cobalt drill bit so I drilled into the rivets a little bit. Then I pounded out the shank of the rivets with a 3lb mallet and a big punch. It was a piece of cake.

That's exactly what my truck looks like, but I still want it a bit lower...and yes, they are going to C-notch the frame. However, the supports will be welded to the frame.
