Next mod-Single Blade T/B vs. Electric Fan

well so far my mods include a 2lb pulley, chip, filter, Densos and bassani...(gettin FT valvebody and trans pan soon)
I dont go to the track much, I just mainly like to have a fast *** truck. I DO plan on going to the track more often later on tho...For now im just doin safe mods to get 12s (mid 12s hopefully)

What do you guys reccomend as my next mod? Single blade t/b or the E-fan?? Or somethin else? Thanks guys

Get the electric fan

It is a better all around mod

It will make the truck quieter, smoother, and you will gain a little MPG.

I have the JDM E Fan and I love it.

Jason,

I will have electric fans this summer when they work best. Right now I have throttle bodies and your name is on one of them. Give me a call.

My vote would be for the electric fan without a doubt. I have both, the electric fan sure does more than the single blade t/b.

both

did both at the same time, gave me 3 tenths and 3mph consistantly at the track. All mods are different, but i had a stock pulley at the time.

If i had to chose 1, i'd do the fan, but you might as well do the cobra r pump at the same time.

motoxracer21,

Yes, the electric fan is a PITA to put on. The main thing is you have to drain the antifreeze which can be a mess unless you have access to a lift.

The difference you will probably notice most is that your truck will rev quicker and easier, as well as a small SOTP change. I also recommend doing the Cobra water pump at the same time. The electric fan and a 2lb pulley netted me a solid half second at the strip.

I have the T/B, the quality is second to none, it has a great show look, and I felt a little SOTP change. It def makes the blower louder, which is nice when cruising by the local hangouts and such. However, I am also looking for 12s and will hopefully be doing the fan/pump combo before spring. I would say go fan first and then see where you wanna go from there.
