at the Detroit show:

As reported by Car-Truck.com earlier this week, look for Chrysler PVO to announce pricing for the 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 and to also introduce a Quad Cab version of the V10 powered performance truck at the 2003 Chicago Auto Show in mid-February.

Source have told PUTC that a push button starter on the Ram SRT-10, similar to the Dodge Viper's, will bring this engine to life for owners and that the 8.1-liter V10 engine will be replaced in the next few years with a new V10 HEMI with power output expected in the 600+ hp range.

Also look for Ford SVT to introduce their first-ever SVT concept vehicle next month in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show. It will be a sneak peak at the next generation Lightning, based on the 2004 F-150, and rumor has power figures at around 450hp

Ford has been under-rating there cobras lately so who knows maybe they are trying to get Daimler to "think" they are on top...and then BAM!!! Just a little wishful thinking

 

No worries. Who would have thought that 360hp(380hp) could push 5000 lbs down the 1/4 so quick. Top dog will be measured in performance numbers. So what if the Dodge has 500 or 500+hp, it still has to make the numbers that count. 0-60, 60-0, 1/4mi, lateral G's, etc.

I read somewhere that all f150's will have more than 2 doors with the body change. Not sure I like that idea, I'm holding out for a new one in 05

 

I also heard the other day that no 04 F-150"s will have 2 doors, this Isn"t a rumor,but Fact.
