Mrbbqman, weight of wheel...

I saw your post on another thread and it's your luck day...and not mine.
I just got in and I have managed to get a flat on my left front tire.
It just gave out at 125 MPH. I heard the darned thing pop but I'm not sure what the frick happened to it. There are no signs of rupture anywhere. Anyway, I'll find out what screwed me Monday when I take it to discount tires to see if it can be fixed or if it has to be replaced. The neat thing is...the truck handled the situation well...no major loss of control. Only real damage is the 200 hit on my wallet if it is beyond repair.

OK...to the question you asked...Tire and wheel combined is 62 lbs. I will see if discount tires will weigh it on some good scales with the tire off Monday and let ya know a more accurate number.

What did the previous wheels weigh in at?

wow, sorry to hear about your brand new tire. glad you and the truck are ok. sounds like there's nothing special about the wheels being lightweight

i dont think its a common problem with f1s,
havent heard of many blowing out.just a heads
up ,check the tire pressure on the rest of your
tires ,being its new who knows what pressure
they are at.
