Correct torque #'s on drop shackles

I know, I posted this on someone else's thread already, but just in case others know the answer also, what is the correct torque for the bolts on the drop shackles? I torqued them to 75 thinking they were suspension pieces and that would be right. It now sounds and feels like something is binding possibly. There seems to be much more noise when going over bumps, or is this due to the poly bushing they installed on the lower bolt. Thanks in advance

Like my plugs, i don't torque. I just tighten the suckers til they don't want to go anymore. However I do have an answer for you, it's a trick this forum told me about before I installed mine. You must use grease or use vasoline on the bushings to eliminate any noise. I think I used that special silicone the cable people use out side on the wires, it never hardens. Mine have been in a while now, and not a sound from them.

Shackle to frame bracket 98-132nm (73-97ft/lb)
Spring to frame 213-288nm (157-212ft/lb)
Spring to shackle bolt and nut 98-132nm (73-97ft/lb)

how's that?

I usually tighten until they snap and then back off 1/2 a turn!!! At least that's what my buddy has been telling me I do!

well the plugs i torqued to 13 ft/lbs, but the shackles, i just gave them all i had until they couldn't go anymore......

plus i didn't have a torque wrench around at the time so whatever, i don't have a problem with my shackles, noise or anything.

I removed my 2" drop shackles and went with the new JLP 3". Drops the truck exactly where I want it. Not sure of the torque specs, just tighten until I start to spin on the floor.
