I love the article, it came out great, but unfortunately MM&FF has some times screwed up. They list Jims "best ever ET/MPH" as 10.50/128 when his best to date is a 10.56. They also listed my "best ever ET/MPH" as 10.78/128. Now I know that I never contacted them to let them know about the 10.48@132 after the shootout, but geez I had a better ET and MPH than what they listed, at the shootout itself, which appears an inch down on the page from the "incorrect" time. LOL.

Sal,

My best ET 10.50@128.41 The magazine invited us to E-Town for another event. They also asked us to bring our 03Cobra.
I am sure you will reading about it in an up comming issue.

Thumbs up

Awesome Job everyone.
It's great to see so many "HOT L's" lined up like that. I truly believe our L"s (and now the 03 Cobra) are some of the only rides you can comfortably drive around all day as daily drivers yet still run 11's, + 12's all day at the track. I know our 10 second Brothers aren't daily drivers but I bet you could. In my hay days to do that in my one of my Chevelle's it meant adjusting the Solid Lifters weekly or monthly, having to shut it off in gear to stop pre-ignition, having to run race fuel all the time, put up with the shake
rattle and roll of a huge cam, loud exhaust, and the constant adjusting and maintence that went along with 1050 Dominator Carb's. Our baby's are smooth, quiet, and BLOWN, and do just as well at the track, as they do cruzing with the A/C, sitting in traffic, cranking the tunes, and even making Home Depot Runs. The best part is, they're also hot looking enough to take to a Wedding, Funeral, or Fancy Restaurant.

If Ford would have put threads in the heads and used a better rod, we'd truly have the best performance vehicle ever designed, it’s dam close now.

BTW
Vinnie, can I get your autograph

Had to keep the truck detuned because of no rollbar. Charlie should've ran 11's, but he wasn't hooking up right. About a week or so later Charlie ran an 11.5x. I was having the KB installed, so I didn't bother taking mine to the track w/ the Eaton anymore. I didn't update my time for the magazine because I had a different blower when I ran low 11's.

It was a great time, hopefully they'll do it again next year w/ the new and improved mods.

Question NICE!

When and where did the shootout happen? How often does this happen. I wish I'd known about it, I would have came out to get more info on what I can do to my truck! I just bought it last year and have been so busy!

I wish I had been there to, but you would have had a longer drive than me. It took place on the east coast.
