As far as a paint job, $400 is a fair price right? thanks again for the pics. Shane
Where'd you find a site selling it for $430-480? This is my NEW favorite hood, with the Cervini's Ram-Air coming in 2nd place. Let me know...

Nopi online had the one without the fiber glass insert for $480 and one with the fiberglass for $560. my question is, what color black would that fiber glass come in? i like solid black, (and a painted red hood) not a stripped black, how would you compare the carbon fiber black to a painted black? Another option i have is to get the normal hood for $480 and paint the inner triangle black, and the rest red right? did i confuse you all? I've found THE hood design, now i need to pick what one out of the 2. Thanks, Shane

none of those hoods are functional right?

if i went with the one i was looking at, that wouldnt be "ram air" but if it was opened, it would cool the motor down a little right?

Why hasn't anyone came out with a ram air kit yet? JL has one, but its not for any specific hood correct?
Thanks, Shane

I like the paint scheme, black inlet on the all white (or Red) color.
I did mine back in 1996 and got the idea from the original T-Bird (turbo)scheme.

I still like the double inlet of Cervinis better though.

ShaneMcKenna203, when you open the photo to see a bigger pic, in the photo descrption is says if its functional or not, and if not, whether the scoops are even open to allow cooling or whatever.
i do know both proglass hoods are functional, the keystone hood is functional, but not with the s/c engines, and there are a couple others that are functional in there.

was yours painted black or carbon fiber insert? your 96 was painted black like i want to do correct?
and thats not "ram air" but is yours open, and do you consider it cooling the motor down? forcing air into the motor?

The Ram Air setup on my 1st GEN is functional, I have the duct work however it does cool the Filter though I had to redirect the air alittle because it was screwing up my Mass Air meter reading.
and the Cervini has vents in the rear that does let the hot air out.
