Exclamation Zero Traction lately....... WTF??

Ok, does the cold weather really effect hookup that much??

Im not talking about stompin' it either, just pulling out of parking lots onto roads etc.. The a$s just wants to kick, and does!, with only a little throttle... Got into a few little situations lately..

I know 32psi for cold rubber, how about for warmed up rubber driving to the gas station to check? What should it be then??

thanks!

If your F1s are more than 1/3rd to 1/2 worn, they are hard and spin prone. Great tires for the first 1/8" of tread or so, pretty much big black sharpie road markers after that.

COld air = more power. Couple that with cold pavement/tires and you have yourself the formula for landing strip marks

It is all in the compound of the tire. The compound in this tire was not designed for the cold weather. It basically becomes very very stiff in the cold. That is why you can't hook up.

(I have been having lots of fun with this myself)

Well said!!!

Speaking of spinning tires, is it considered reckless driving in most states if you loose traction? I know in my area that you get smacked with a reckless ticket if they catch you spinning. It makes sense if someone is driving stupid, but how can someone help it if their vehicle just has that much torque?
