Spark plug Torque ?

Lightbulb

I was told by JDM to go 35LB FT . So that is what I do. Haven't had any problems since doing this. Been through about 3-4 plug changes doing it that way. How many plug changes will these heads last for>??? Thanks, -Mat-

35 ft lbs?!?! the heads are aluminum right? that's the amount of torque that should be used on cast iron. aluminum is like 16-17. i would never tighten them that much, your likely to ******* some S*** up. well i'm going to jump into that engine bay tomorrow and change the plug. i'll see how "hand tight" 16 ft lbs is and just use that as a measure of thumb i guess.
