Will we ever see another lightning?

Everyday, I look at ways to mod my truck. 2004 F150 Regularcab 5.4 NOT LIGHTNING

Then I think, "I need to save all this money Im blowing and spend it on the new lightning when it comes out."

Will we ever see a new Lightning? Maybe 2007?

Somebody?

Not on the current F150 frame or body! It's is much too heavy.

I think the 390hp adrenalin will tide us over until Ford decides to redesign the F150. With gas prices hitting $3/gallon during the summer months, expect the next f150 to be a little lighter and I'm guessing smaller.

I love the idea of an AWD truck with a cobra motor in it. (thanks for listening Ford). But lets put it in a true truck (not sport trac). Make it a mixture of the cyclone awd launches, the top speed of the dodge srt10 truck.

AND PLEASE make it a turbo, with enough room for "upgrades" down the road.

I'm sure we would all like to see another but I doubt it. The current SVT crew still hasn't put a single vehicle in production.

The "new" SVT division certainly doesn't have very challenging goals, and hasn't accomplished anything tangible in the last 2 years.

never as svt will be a memory after the 2007 model year. Wish it wasn't going down like that, wife really wants an Adrenalin to replace the Mach1. It's a given that the Lightning is history and if you ask at Ford Performance (yeah they don't answer the phone "SVT" anymore) they will say the Adrenalin was a concept and that is all, no effort has been made to put in in production since it's debut at NYAS '05. Guess we will be looking at the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8

Bummer, Ford stated that they will not produce the Sport Trac Adrenaline concept...

I was waiting to get rid of my KR to jump in one of those, they looked sick.

Too bad. The gas prices are really killing the domestic performance market. GM has recently killed the GTO also. VERY low sales.

Good luck with that! The last 2004s built stickered for $33,800. I saw a stripped down 2006 F-150 XL with a 4.6/auto for $25,000.
