I bought out the lease, so I own it now. But as far as it getting sold, I'd think whomever buys my truck would be getting a great truck. If it gets sold as is, then people know exactly what to expect. If I put it back to a stock type truck, then someone would be getting a 7900 mile mint 01 Lightning.

As for the actual topic here, I can't believe a dealer would take a deposit on a truck that's not coming out for two years. But also, why would you give them the money? It's not like the Gen 3 Lightning will be hard to get. Just go order one when they come out. Why tie up money for two years?

No money was gave to the dealership... Like I said I have a friend there thats the Sales Manager. 10 people in the area already have said they will buy one...

I "guess" Iam on a list for the Gen 3 too.
I told my dealer I'd be back for a next generation Lightning when they hit showroom floor. I get mailing from the dealership all the time. Hell they even sent me a letter to come in for an oil change to keep my warranty intact

Dont think i'd go and give my interest just yet, would wait until they release it for proper as apose to the concept models they built
