Thumbs down my leather backing has...

hey guys, how's it goin...

i am a little pissed off...you guys know that little paper flip brochure that was hanging on the seat when you first got or saw the truck? well mine sat in the sun too long at the dealer, i guess, and the seat is light, and there is this 6"x4" rectangular shape on the top right side of the driver's side seat that is darker than the rest of the seat. now i noticed it in the beginning, and i thought a little conditioning would rid me of the hassle of getting the seat replaced, but its beginning to get on my nerves and i'm not too happy. the truck has about 5,000 miles on it, and i was wondering if i should bring it in and complain about it and bitch enough to get a new seat. i mean, its really noticable, especially when people are looking in throught the windshield admiring the beautiflul leather and interior, and you see this ugly, horrible looking rectangular dark spot in the middle of the seat. your eyes are drawn right to it when you look at the drivers seat. what should i do? i'm pissed off!!

So would I be for that reason.

Go back to the dealer with the offending bit of paper to prove your point and state your case !

Good luck.

I can't guarantee they will repair or replace it if you take it in but I can guarantee they will not fix it if you don't take it in.

logical,

You're starting to sound strikingly like Spock...

Captain, I believe our sensors have detected that a foreign object has blocked the sun and apparently discolored the Dark Brown Castano leather on your leather Captain's chair sir. I'll get Scotty to do a full scan and try and determine the level of radiation that caused the damage, wait one minute...

No wonder you chose the screen name logical, you are, hehehe.

Where have you been hiding man? You're like a ghost, drop in at 3am and surprise or maybe scare a few members and then leave.

Keep in touch.

It's not quite as odd as it seems...I was in Mexico on business so it was only midnight.

chances are that if you leave the paper off of the leather and in the sun that it will all even out after a few months so unless it really bothers you i would't worry about it much.

i must clarify myself it seems. instead of wasting both your time and the dealers i would see if it would even out by itself and not worry about it in the meantime. if it doesn't even out then i would then take it in.

Take it back and complain. With the kind of money you are putting into your truck they should fix/replace. If they don't do anything but a seat cover (just kidding). Good luck.
