For All THose wondering

THought I better change the topic of this since some people had a problem wit hit when it was I HATE LIFE. Anyway truck update I know RP was asking. I picked it up last friday and as soon as they drovbe it up I noticed somethign was wrong. The grill insert hasn't been painted so I brought that up to them. I had to get eht rental back so I had to take the truck since i was paying for the rental. Took it back on Wed. so they could paint the insert. SO I have it back noe minus the brushguard. Still discussing that with the insurance company. While at body shop the owner was talkign to me they had another KR in there before same thing hit a deer. Only difference was no brush guard on that one did $8,000 dollars damage. My bill was $1,650. I think the insurance can pay for a $600 brushguard. WE are talkign ot the regional person now. SO we will see. I like the one's REELWORK showed us but they don't have a stainless one at least that was what our local vendor told me.

Good luck KR. Insurance is a pain in the butt sometimes...

I think this might be a good time to plug the insurance company... what I mean is...

Almost all of us are doing mods galore. The insurance company will cover a certain amount of modifications however, after a certain number ($1K with my carrier), they won't cover a damage or theft claim. It is important to let your carrier know what mods you have done so that if and when something happens, you're covered.

Just a thought because we've been talking about this when it comes to the Xenarc HID headlight systems.... I thought I'd share.

Talking Stainless...

Sorry about your truck... Case in point right there... $1.6k compared to $8k... WOW!

If you're set on Stainless, which looks quite nice, then from my research on it, the Maniks seemed to be the best.

Ranch Hand doesn't make Stainless... Don't know why either??

Best wishes,

Chris (ReelWork)

Here's a stainless steel guard that I am very happy with. I little different than the standard Westin or Manik. It is made by Tal and Hadas. Good luck getting everything fixed

Well was a no go with insurance company. Did get lucky though shop that installed guard in the first place had been holding some parts for awhile for a dodge. The parts are the same except for the center bar no longer has spots for fog lights. That can be fixed though..can you say tap and die.
