showya;
Can the back seats of my 01 KR be replaced by the bench seat of the 03 without modification to the floor or other part of the truck?

thx

As for retro-fitting the rear seats. Uh...well...no.

The rear of a KR had/has 2 buckets and a center console. Each rear seat has a pair of rear seat lugs in the floorpan and also 2 separate legs under the front which each have their own pair of lugs for the bolts. Also remember the carpet is cut out as well. The center console has a U-shaped bracket that bolts the rear wall of the cab and there is also a bracket the console slides into on the floorpan.

I am not saying it could not be done here guys, the HD crowd is adding a 3rd seat, just a matter of how much money and time you are willing to invest to modify a factory item.

Showya,

Did you say the Harley crowd is adding a third seat. I talked about doing that when I first got my KR too. Can you point me to where on this site that is being discussed?

Thanks,

~DM~

Hey Showya,

Got any more pictures of the 03 King Ranch? Like interior changes? I am curious to see if the wood kit is similar to the one we have put in our 2001's. I think we would all like to see the differences in the 02's and 03's, although I think I remember a lot of the changes not taking place until late 03.

showya,
Thanks for the info. When I get around to adding the other doors to my King......

I will consider the extra seat mod for the rear of the cab.

RockPick,
Didn't mean to be such a stranger. Just real busy trying to get the truck and everything else ready for my move to Iceland. It's good to be back though. DaveMan's list is Cooooooooooooooool!

I see the lights on the bottom of the cab. This might be a better picture. I still need to see these in person to determine whether this is as good as our trucks are or not.

man i never really liked the color green on trucks, but in that pic it looks beautiful! Isn't that color darker in person though?

They must have used a lense filter to make it look that almost emerald green.

It is quite a bit lighter in person...it's almost O.D. green. FOr you people that don't know what that is. It's Olive Drab the militarys color of choice.

The sunroof/moonroof is glass. It can either been tilted up as in a sunroof. Or it can be retracted back into the roof itself as a moonroof.
