A question, and a website

I just had a question about the "Technical Service Bullitens", are these things like recalls, or is it just an acknowledgement of an issue? I saw one about me expi about the 5.4 rough idle at startup. info here

It's done it forever and doesn't change really. Dealer told me it was nothing (figures) Anyway, just curious.

I found the info at this website http://autopedia.com/ Thought I'd share it for anyone that doesn't already know about it

A TSB is simply a fix, Ford has found for a common problem. It's a fix for a design problem that came about after the vehicle went into production. Not all vehicles are affected by it.

The dealer is under no obligation to inform you of TSB's or look at your truck at their cost if you think one of the TSB's applies to you. I have found however that many times, Ford will pick up the bill outside of warranty if one of these problems comes up.

If you want the complete TSB, as well as a whole lot of other info about your truck, you can subscribe to ALLDATA. The information there is much more thorough than the Haynes and Chilton's manuals.
