Skagel and Rockpick in Kentucky

Notice in the last picture... Skagel is really checking out the Chestnut colored KR. We always knew she liked Chestnut rather than Charcoal.....

Skagel--

I enjoyed meeting you all. Sorry we couldn't stay to cook hotdogs and make smores.

Also--

Skagel has a big story to share with everybody. I'm not going to give any hints and let her tell the story because she's so excited but, I'll say this. It's a SUPER story.

RockPick -

Those are great pictures. Thanks for sharing them. I always enjoy seeing pictures of one truck parked side-by-side with another of the same model (not to mention their owners). It lets you compare the different mods each has made and then you can decide whether you want to do something similar. Both are good looking trucks.

Skagel -

I see you've got a grille guard on yours. Looks really good. I'm considering the same thing for mine. I'm looking at the Westin Sportsman Modular but I read in one of these posts where it didn't mold well with the front of the truck. What kind do you have? Any complaints or compliments?

Thanks -

Rock and Skagel,

Some pretty impressive specimens, trucks that is...Damn they're pretty.

Rock,

You playing pocket pool or are there some rock specimins in there you want to show...being a geologist and all, it only makes sense...BTW, great pictures, who took them and with who's and what kind of camera?

Skagel,

Are you an outdoors type?...I thought you were a yuppie...Yuppies don't sleep in tents, cook hotdogs outdoors and make smores, do they?

Damn, I'm going to have to re-write my social class standards now...I bet you had a blast, didn't you?

Hey guys,

I'm envious that you got a plant tour where the SD is manufactured. Also, I love the outdoors and camping but it's been raining solid for a week, that's why I've been posting here rather than puting posts in the ground with concrete...

Later,

~DM~

Hey Joe,

Man, you're in a difficult situation; I don't envy you right now. If it was me in your shoes, I'd have to either be happy for Sarah or stay away from the King Ranch Forum and find something else to keep me occupied. Holding a grudge is a bad thing for you and for everyone else. I've been married twice and if there's one thing that I've learned, if you love someone, you better let them know it; otherwise someone else might beat you to it.

I'm happily married now for five years and there will not be a number three...

Keep cool and stay an active member...find a new woman if that helps...I know, it's easy for me to say but if I didn't think it was the truth, then I wouldn't say it...

Later,

~DM~

Karate,

I think it's a relationship from the past...I don't know much except I think GIJoeCam and Skagel were close at one time...Now Skagel has a new man and she's serious, that's about the extent of what I know. Touchy topic I think...

Dave- Pocket pool. Plain and simple...nothing more, nothing less. I mean, heck man, look at that truck... the chestnut one that is.... makes you wanna... well, nevermind...

KrispyKreme.... nuff said. ROFL

Sony Mavica -- my wifey took them -- I think she was 'moving' while pushing the exposure button... they're really not good pics... blurry. Oh well... life shall go on.

Karate-- The relationship mentioned prior in this thread is not a relationship with Rockpick. Just thought I'd make sure that was well out in the open and not misunderstood. *sings the rumors song*

Chestnut-- Thanks man.

Mike-- I think you just envy me that I'm able to type about endless nothings and have it all come together to make some vauge sense at the end. It's a gift. I learnt itt in koluge...(WKU - my alam tamatter). It's called bs... I majored in it.... who am I fooling... I practice it now! ROFL!

Sarah-- (when you return) -- I have been unsuccessful in buffing that damn scratch from the campsight marker sign out of my door. I get to sand it tomorrow I could kick my own *** for opening my door there... I'm a bonehead. (no comments from the audience on this one please!)

I've been all over the state of Kentucky today. My truck kicked *** in the morning and took names in the evening. I'm dog *** tired (and a dog's *** is pretty damn tired). I'm out... well, after I check the other threads.

I iz out.

umm, where's the animosity? Is there something you guys know that I don't? If so, I'd certainly like to know...

I was simply stating that it looks like they had a good time... nothing more. Skagel's in her element anytime there's another KR around, and she enjoys camping too.

As for avoiding the forum... most of you may have a few more posts than I do, but I've still been a member here almost three times as long as Skagel has and longer than anyone that's posted in this thread thus far... this site has been my "home" since before the KR edition ever existed... I don't see myself leaving anytime soon... This site is too valuable a tool to me. I'm sure all of you would feel the same way if you were in my shoes.

Just an FYI, I looked at some "wood" trim panels for the KR... I can't remember if they were Husky or another brand (was a few weeks ago)... the set was around $260 for the KR SC. I didn;t really like them because they were a dark walnut color, and I think it would be just too dark (it was WAY darker than the KR leather and wasn;t available in any other colors). Might look good on a Chestnut truck, though... in fact, I think it would look real nice on a chestnut truck...

Wait... chestnut is the dark red, right? (i'm such a dunce for asking...)

Yeah, I'm not sure what it would look like either in a Chestnut truck but, we shall see. I think I'm going to get them and not install them until I'm convinced I like it. I'm on the fence post right now...

If I don't like them, I'm sure someone would buy them off of me for close to what I paid and I wouldn't be out much dinero. *shrugs* Just my plan...

I'll let you all know how it turns out.

I kno we're getting a bit off-topic here, but does anyone know of a company that makes "wood" trim that actually looks like wood? Most of the kits I've seen look like imitation fake press-board!??! (blech!) it would be nice to see some lighter colored wood trim too... something that might match the interior trim panels on a lariat a bit better... kind of like a pine color? That might look good on mine...

Now that's got me thinkin'... what about some matte finish or brushed finish stainless or chrome interior pieces? Could be a headache in the sun, but I think it would look good....

hmmmm... I know, off-topic. Sorry... just thought if anyone would know about trim for the interior it would be you guys...
