Talking Vent Visors -

I once had a Sport Trac with Vent Visors that fit into the window channel rather than attached to the outside with sticky tape...

These were ford product...anyone know if there is one that exist for the SCREW??

I think almost all of us have the WeatherTech WeatherFlector Vent Visors. I left mine Smoke to see through while others have painted them the body color. They work great and look the best of the ones I've seen out there.

Hey Karate...

Check out my sig where I list the mods. The vent visors are weathertechs. They fit inside the window channels and work great.

Later,

Something to think about ....

A few years back, I had a Nissan Axxess with the vent shades that fit in the window track. Looked great, worked great, and after about 3 years, the window refused to go more than halfway up without the assistance of my hand pulling on the top of the glass. This was because the lifting mechanism was severly worn because having the vent shade in the window channel along with the glass, made it more difficult for the window motor to push the glass up.

Just something to think about ......

Larry,

You can't compare no rice rocket window mechanism with the F150. Hell, the F150 window motors have got 25 horse power each...They'll push the glass through the door channel if something gets in the way, just hope no one sticks their head in the window path while it's rolling up 'cause it'd get cut off.

They are prone to fail though. At 1500 miles I had to have my driver's side motor replaced.

Did you have the Visors listed above? Or was it a problem from earlier...

It was just arbitrary. Many F150 owners have had the same problem with the motors burning out.
