stereo mods or performance mods

ok guys...just came across some xtra cash, and i am wondering whether i should do some stereo mods or some truck performance mods. if i do performance, im gonna get a superchip and maybe an intake kit, if i go stereo, im gonna get a new head unit (Alpine CDA-7894) and some new speakers (Infinity Reference 5x7). which way should i go??

thanks

Money burning a hole in your pocket...

HA HA! Well man, I know there will be some that will lean towards performance and some will lean towards enjoyment (which may coincide with power).

Me, I'd go with the stereo system. This is (BY FAR) the largest, most powerful vehicle I've ever driven and I've never been much of a 'power freak'.

I enjoy driving and anything that can make the level of enjoyment a little stronger, I typically would go for that... but, like I said, that's just me.

Do what's going to make you happy. You've got a beautiful truck -- ENJOY IT!

thanks RP

i think i will go with the stereo upgrade...now that i see what you've done with your xm...hmmm.... maybe i'll go that route. maybe eventually a chip/intake, but i dont think now is the time hehe. i've got a loud rumble with my FLOWMASTERS, AND I LOVE IT!! thats pretty much all i'm goin for. i've been goin fast lately, and now that i think about it, there really is no point. take it slow and just relax. what else can make you do that but an awesome stereo (maybe xm)

KR

P.S. - RP, your sig would look a lil better if your pic was a little smaller it's a sweet pic, but i'm on a 800x600 screen here and its takin up a big part of the screen lol

Yeah, I'd go with the stereo too but, again, that's just me.

Also, I used to know what code was used to shrink that picture but, I couldn't figure it out to save my life. I do want to shrink it because I have the same problem on my home PC.

Any of you HTML buffs know? <imgsrc.... blah blah... I can't remember. HEEEEELP!

It is the horizontal bar you have in your signature that is causing the scrolling. Insert a <br> just after the picture source code, before the horizontal bar, and you should fix it.

Hey dufunnel, I can't figure it out to save my life. Anyway I could get you to insert an example of what you're saying in here so that I can modify it for my pic specifically? I think that if you just put a 'period' (.) in front of the code, that it won't read it as html.

***EDIT***

I think I got it. I just reloaded the pic at a different size....seems to have worked. If you don't mind, I'd like to learn that code anyways though.

Muchas Gracias

seems unless you really plan on using the extra power the stereo is a better buy since you know you will use that.

Well, since I have no testosterone running through my blood I need more power.....more power, more power.

besides we need to heat up our atmosphere and burn more gas......apparently an asteroid is going to hit the earth in 16 years and cause the earth to get very cold so we should be heating it up and drive the most ineficient gas gusslers money can buy!!!!

really I swear. Joe told me so.

In my opinion you should go for what ever is more important to you. I am a stereo person, but I also like the perfromance factor. I would up the stereo first, but if you're not an audiophile like myself, well, *shrug*

hard choice, if you can't decide, try an investment or something to make the amount bigger till you figure out what is more valueable to you.
