Talking Hi, All

Well, Where to begin. I got my truck! I am sorry Daveman, skagel and all the rest but i have been a silent reader to this forum since Daveman got his screw. To tell the truth i was embarrased because i only had a 88 ranger that i bought off the showroom floor and still have. But im just regular joe and work hard for our money and we have saved for the last 4 years, and i finnaly couldnt take it any more and i got a 2002 charlcoal BLUE King ranch it is the best color according to my wife! . On my birthday no less! So Mandy is 4 days old, Paid cash (i hate payments). She has all the standard features except one, i got it from the factory with the power slider!! only 242.00!! It has the small button too! this is my first post so i dont have pics yet but the modes have started! Daveman how did you leavel out the front, you said torsion bars but i dont know were excactly it is thank you

Hello shard7301,

Welcome to our family, you made a wise choice with the KR S'Crew. Wow, you paid cash, you got me beat by a mile and I hate payments too but there was just no way I could swing that kind of moola.

As for leveling, check out this link, it should have all the info you will need.

https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...hlight=Torsion

Read down a few posts and you'll see I posted a procedure to adjust the bars for leveling.

If the info on the referenced thread is not clear, then email me from this site and I will forward the procedure to you, no problem.

Later,

~DM~

Shard,

Even though you didn't acknowledge me in your first post (I'm truly hurt), I'll still welcome you to the clan. We're a tight bunch here that regularly poke fun and have a pretty good time.

We'll be wanting to see some pics of your truck when you get a chance... Skagel will be on cloud nine that she has another charcoal'er'.

Oh yeah, and did I hear you named your truck Mandy? HEY SKAGEL! LOOK! IT'S A FEMALE CHARCOLA FOR YOUR TOMAS! THINK OF ALL THE LITTLE CHARCOLA KRs (I guess those would be KR Rangers *shrugs*) THAT THEY CAN HAVE!!

Anyways, all joking aside Shard... welcome to the bunch. We're glad to have you. You'll just have to ignore me and my weird since of humor, everyone else here certainly has...

hey shard,

welcome to the insanity that is the king ranch forum. i see the wife has good taste...charcoal blue is the sh_t!!! of course i'm a bit biased.

kewl that you got the power rear slider...when did they make that an option on the king ranch? when i ordered mine last fall you couldn't get it.

anyhoo, hope you like the truck. except for a couple minor hiccups mine has treated me well and there is nothing else on the market that i'd rather have, unless there were such a thing as a 4x4 harley version of the s-crew!!!

Shard You are gonna fit in just fine around here. And I must say your wife has excellent taste for the charcoal blue rules!!! Tomas isn't that much older then your Mandy. he is still an '02 ya know. I can see the leather has already gotten ahold of you and turned you into a complete lunatic like the rest of us. other F150'ers just don't understand our obsession.

welcome aboard!!!

Daveman,
hey I had my b/f adjust my torsion bars yesterday....hey turned them twice and it gave the truck 1/2" lift in the front. Is this the same result you got? It didn't mess up my alighnment, but I am still taking it in to have them check it out before my one year warranty is up on the alighnment.

Skagel,

I had to turn my drivers side adjustment 3 turns and the passenger side 5 turns in order to get the same measurement from the center of the wheel to the inside curvature of the fender wells. I've never had my front end re-aligned and have had absolutely no problems. I don't like to see a 4x4 sitting down in the front and actually, I don't like to see a 4x2 that way either. However, if you've got a 4x2, you've got a major project on your hands to level that puppy as well as needing a handful of cash.

Shard,

Get us some pics man, you're killing us with anticipation! What's your primary reason for needing a truck as well as a Super Crew, just curious?

Later,
~DM~

https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?gnum=1454 I Dont KNow what im doing but i hope this works. copy and paste this i guess or hope that it works.

Dave i got the crew cause its just an awsome truck, i have a family of three wife, boy 3, girl 8. Thats the other reason other than to have the baddest truck in the surrounding area.
Let me know if this works or not.

Sarah, if i my call you by your first name, i thought i had an obsession with my Harley but----- this takes the cake. I fell in love with Mandy the first time i saw her and in the 5 days i have had her i cannot for my life find anything wrong! Believe me after reading all the stuff Daveman went through i went over her with a fine comb and was a little disapointed that i didnt find anything wrong YET.

Cool lenticular

You are right sir the name Hardesty is English, from my history three Hardesty brothers came here waaay back in the 1700's. The Place name is recorded in 1379 as hardolfsty. We came from the york area and was spelled Hardisty instead of Hardesty. I am in the Air Force Reserves and had a tour in Mildenhal for a couple of weeks and met a man that was into Heraldic Arts and we researched my coat of arms with the information of my relatives.
Neet to find your past history!
I know the pics are bad but what can you expect from a pocket camera! I have to borrow my buddys to get some good pics.

Scott,

I saw your gallery and the pics aren't that bad, eventhough the camera you mentioned isn't perfect, the shots are decent. Congrats again and I'm glad to hear you didn't find any flaws in your new truck, hope it stays that way for you man.

Did you get a chance to crank those torsion bars up yet?

Nice Ride and welcome to the zoo!! I just came in from polishing mine. I wash mine at least once a week and it's nice to know that others are as obessed. I looked long and hard at the charcoal blue color and decided to get green. All the colors look great, ya can't go wrong!!

Looks darn good man!

BroncoDave has me jealous... talking about washing his truck.... while I'm stuck in a hotel room in Missoula Montana for the rest of the week (including the holiday). All I've got is this crappy Jeep. I might just go wash it and pretend it's chestnut colored with a box rather than blue with a V6 (that feels like a four banger).

*sighs*
