Drop Shackel question...

This is mainly for dufunnel because I know he's done it. I was just curious what your thoughts are on this. Does it affect the ride of your KR and how hard was it to do? Just curious, my wife says she likes it the way it is, but to me it seems the visibility out the rear would be better with the rear end down a couple inches. She might change her mind down the road.

Dude, just realized you live in the Orlando area dufunnel. Hopefully I'll see you driving around sometime. I'd love to see that truck in person

Haven't noticed an effect on the driveability, except for when I go over those stupid speed humps (the long ones). I sometimes bottom out sooner than I used to, but it's no big deal. I sometimes go too fast over them anyway. It basically just looks like it is leveled out now, instead of the rearend being in the air. It was not hard. Took about 45 minutes to an hour to do. Hardest part was keeping the frame part where the shackle goes spread far enough to get the new shackles in. Just used a very big screwdriver to pry it open enough to slip them in. A fairly easy mod to do.

As for seeing me around town, I don't suppose you have checked out the "other" F150 board yet have you? Anyway, we are having a bbq this Saturday the 1st at Turkey Lake Park at noon if you are interested in showing up. Barring any unforeseen events, I will be there.

You wouldn't be talking about the speed humps on Lake Price would you? Man those things are terrible.

As far as the BBQ, thanks, but we're heading out on vacation next week and we'll be packing and all that good stuff. I've never been to Turkey Lake Park though, I might have to go check that out some day. It's only about 20 miles ar less from here. I've never been there and it looks pretty cool.

Thanks for the info, I may end up talking my wife into it someday. I really like the way your's sits. I think she just doesn't want me messing around with her baby Oh well, I think my next thing will be to put a K&N fipk on the expi anyway.

As a matter of fact, the ones on Lake Price are some of them I am referring to. I used to live back there before they put them in, and now I live up 50 a little ways, and have new ones to deal with.
