Question Are all KR owners fanatics?

KR owners,

I was on my way to the local Lowe’s today for more supplies and I ran up on a 4x2 Chestnut brown S'Crew KR edition and as I approached him I flashed my headlights a few times and waved as I drove by and he and his wife both looked at me like as if I was crazy or something.

If I were over in a very different foreign country, and rarely saw an American, I would feel alone. If after some time, I ran up on an American, then I would probably feel inclined to approach them and be verbal so that they would know I was around and wanted to discuss our home land and our common beliefs.

As rare as KRs are, you'd think that if you run up on one while driving and you try and be sociable with the owner, you'd think that it'd be mutual. However, sometimes they look at you like as if you've never seen a truck before and not make the KR connection.

Oh well, I guess not every KR owner is as passionate and fanatical as some on this board, but I think I may be.

Later,
~DM~

so Daveman it sounds like you ran into the guy who lives down the street from my mom and drives a '01 chestnut KR with a cab on it.......the guy is....ummm.....not a nice person.......but his is a 4x4.....there is also a woman who I have seen recently driving aroung the Island in a charcoal blue '02 4x4 KR......don't think it is her truck though.....she just doesn't look the type....ie. perfectly manicured long nails, make-up and hair looking like she walked off the pages of Cosmopolitan....actually I have been seeing a heck of a lot of KR's lately....infact almost got in a fight w/ my b/f over wether a truck we passed was infact a KR.....I said it was and he said it wasn't.....as Daveman knows.....I know my KR's and would never mistake a non-KR for the real thing. the sad thing is I never see a KR when I am actually driving my KR....I am always in the rice burners when I see them so I get hob *** with the drives because I would really get some weird looks I am sure.

Top 10 from lowest to highest on the KR looneyness scale:

10. Complacent (May not have a clue as to what they are driving, per Skagel's recommendation)
9. Likes it okay
8. Think it's cool (Hardly no one else has one)
7. Interested (Likes the history behind it)
6. Passionate (Loves it)
5. Fanatic (Want others to know about it)
4. Crazy (Really wants to tell everyone)
3. Obsessed (Can't resist buying something for it)
2. Compulsive (Can't stop waxing it)
1. Lunatic (Looney, makes running W into religion)

Where do you fit?

I'll throw in a few from my perspective.

Skagel (1)
RockPick(2)
DaveMan(5)
Lenticular (6)
logical (7)
dufunnel (8)

Other top 10 lists are encouraged.
Have fun with this please!

Skagel,

Good point, I'll edit the top 10 per your suggestions. I guess this was not such a good idea after all, seems as if not many are willing to play this game. Oh well, sometimes it just takes some time for folks to realize you just want to have fun.

i'd say i fit somewhere in the last half of the top ten. i'm definitely ****, but not in the same way some of you are.

while you guys wax and spit shine your trucks seemingly after every meal...i listen and feel for odd noises and get mentally disturbed when they happen....cause ya' know, a nearly 40k vehicle with 5k miles on it shouldn't have any "ISSUES"! right?

Troy,

Wax, what's that stuff used for???

I think you were a little more excited when you first purchased your KR and then as you rode it for a while, it just became another truck with fancy leather seats and a special paint job, right? BTW, I posted over in the differential issue thread.

i still really like the s-crew, and i could never "STEP DOWN" to a lariat or xlt now!! however, as mentioned before, i'm not as excitable as yuz guys are about your rides...

btw, even though i really enjoy my kr...i'd have gotten the harley version if it came in 4x4!!
