2002 King Ranch

I noticed from a picture on ebay from a KR being sold that the 2002's have different colored seat bases (the hard plastic surround) than the 2001's. I have to say I like the 2001's tan better, because it is consistent throughout the entire cab. If they were going to change colors, they should have done all the plastic trim the new color, not just the seats. I also noticed that the two trucks for sale on ebay don't have the King Ranch wheels. I wonder who confiscated those?

If you look at the ad for the blue King Ranch, you will see that the stealership has listed the color as "Medium Wedgewood Blue".

And the green truck looks a bit fishy, too. I thought all Super Crew KR's had the electronic climate controls? The Estate Green truck in that auction has the same HVAC controls as my 99 Lariat.

goneloco, you are somewhat correct. The 2001 KRs did not have electronic HVAC controls. This is a new item for the 2002 model year and, the blue one on ebay is an 02.

On the color scheme, I'm pretty sure that they just don't know the proper name for the color; that being Charcoal Blue.

I believe that both are true King Ranch Editions with their respective modifications. Dufunnel pointed out that the wheels on both of the trucks aren't KR edition wheels.

Dufunnel: I agree 110% on the color of the plastic. I like the Tan MUCH better than the castano brown plastic. Just doesn't flow well with the interior.

RockPick,

Now I have been educated! I have only looked at the 2002's, so I wasn't sure/didn't know/assumed information about the 2001's.
