Lightning Heads & Corners Installed

I have recieved and installed my 2002 SVT Lightning Heads and Corners. Let me know what you all think...

Be 110% honest with me too. Almost seems like too much of a 'chrome look' to me on the front end. Maybe it'll grow on me... Opinions please!!!

I can't attest for the lighting capabilities yet. These pics were taken IMMEDIATELY AFTER install and, as you can see, it's still light outside. I'm going to get out this evening and test em' out to see if there's any lighting performance gain over stock. I'll keep you sitting on the edge of your seats until then.

There are a few more pictures in my gallery. The link is at the bottom of my signature.

OPINIONS PLEASE!

Looks good! I thought a classy truck like this deserved a little more sparkle than the drab stock lights.

Hey Rock,

They look real sharp to me, fine job there RockMan. Hey, I just gave you a new call sign, RockMan, how's that sound?

Now, do you regularly purchase items and not know the results before hand? If so, then I've got some great land I want to sell you with perfect drainage and soil with hardwood trees and deep water access.

So Rock, how much did all the lights set you back?

Thumbs up Thanks...

Thanks guys. I think I like them more and more.... they're going on me.

The night driving verdict is... very little difference. The light seems to be more focused on the road however. Not as much spread. I'm not a super expert on light dispersion however, it seems more concentrated. *shrugs* It looks SWEET at night. The round lenses and the corners REALLY LOOK GOOD. It's the daytime look that I'm not real sure about...

Dave, about that land. Remember, you're talking to a geologist here. I know my soils, groundwater, surficial drainage, protoliths, lithic geology, and potentiometric surfaces. I could take a look at the property for ya.... it'll cost a few grand though. Environmental Phase I audits aren't exactly cheap. HAHA!

I don't typically buy items without checking what it's going to do/look like installed however, I had made up my mind I was going to do something to the front end for looks and, I have succeeded. I changed the stock look on the front and honestly, I think it's going to work out nicely. (I wanted to change the stock look and attempt to get a hand up on Lenticular's mod-mobile).

As far as the monetary set back... A tad over $400 delivered.... which is a really good deal. I've seen them go for well over $400 on ebay SEVERAL times. Even for used sets.

Just my original comments, based on my own experience with those lights. I installed them, couldn't see as well at night, so I got rid of them and got the HIDs instead.

Personally, I think they're an improvement over the stock lights as far as visibility goes but, it's only a slight improvement. The look, in my opinion, is another issue altogether...

I LOVE the way these things look in low light and night.

I want some for my Expy!!! I like the day time look very much, in fact I had looked into doing the same thing till I was quoted $600+ and decided for that money I would be better off investing a few more for Sylvania Zenarc HID's.

Where did you find them for $400? My wait may be over!!

Thanks for posting the PICS, maybe I canuse photo shop to turn the paint 'Estate Green' and sell myself on getting to it.
