OK I know we have had a couple of threads already about treating our wonderful seats, and having had leather in many cars over the years I shouldn't need advice...BUT.....
although it was me in a previous thread who suggested Connolly hide food which I have always used successfully, I don't want to carry a tub all the way to the States when I return next week.

I did E Mail Fiebing and got this reply about their 4 way conditioner....

What I want to know is where I can easily buy this stuff off the shelf.....do shoe repairers really have it.....do any of those large footwear chains I will find in most malls stock it....I don't really want to send off for the stuff (A relatively small amount which will cost as much to mail as the product itself)

Advice will be much appreciated as I really must treat those seats while I am with that wonderful truck before it goes back into store when I return.

 

I got mine at a tractor supply place....you should be able to pick it up at any place that sell horse supplies...saddles, feed, etc.....

By the by....just looked at your profile and realised your birthdate is the same as my wife's......though her birthyear predates yours just a tad!

 

I called around to all the horse places in the area and no one carried it, so I bit the bullet and ordered it over the web. It should be here on the Thur the 4th and will try it out this weekend (if we have nice weather that is).

 

the horse places have it, they probably just call it something different. as far as bringing in a tub or your stuff from england, should be a problem but being that your going to texas their is no shortage of horse tack and feed stores around so you'll have no problem finding something that works. just remember to stay away from anything that has neatsfoot oil in it as it tends to eat the stitching after a while.

 

Looks like in the Dallas area, being on saddle leather is getting more and more popular. The horse feed shops aren't as common within the city, but those country towns tend to have plenty!

O' my lord, they have rocks and dirt up there, poor thomas will be out of his element actually having to act like a truck, better give him a pep talk before you go!!!

 

anything outside the garage is out of tomas's element!
