How Many Kr Production?
Made a cruise around the dealerships here in Louisville today. One dealership had THREE (count em' THREE) KR's on the lot NEW. Two Chestnuts and one Charcoal.
My question. How many will Ford make? Is there a set number? If so, how could we tell what # ours was in production?
I guess I'm just concerned. I don't want a bunch of these running around. The fewer the better...

Well, in the Dallas area they are pretty much out there. I wouldn't say common, because it is Texas, and everyone is SUPPOSED to have a truck. But at the dealership I bought mine from, I have 2-3 options of EACH COLOR to take a look at. That was at one of the larger dealerships in the area. Just did a search...they have 10 in right now....another in Arlington has 2, and another 5. Those are the only 3 dealerships I checked. But, then again, it IS Texas, and it is a big population here. I would say it is still less than 3% of the truck inventory...adn that is genrous. May even be less. The price will keep most away. Let's face it, if you can drop $30000+ for a truck...
Most people will take the XLT or the lariat for that extra $100 a month or so....
There are a couple of others that I have seen on the road. There was one that I saw in the chestnut that looked like was getting ready to actually go to a ranch....cattle guards all over!!!
Later!

It'd be nice to know how many they made for the 01 production year. Also, it'd be nice to try to figure out what # in production our trucks were.... any way to locate that #?
Ford told me that there is no limit to the number produced. It is all a function of demand. Unlike the HD or Lightning, ours is not limited production, but I am willing to bet fewer have one than the other two, which is fine by me.
I agree the fewer the better. As it is I have yet to see another one on the road around here.
I sure would like to know the numbers produced each year and where we stood within that number.
