Common Problems in KR Editions...

I saw a similar post in another forum and thought it would be interesting in this one...

We've discussed what we would change about our trucks. I'm interested in some of the problems that we, as King Ranch owners, are/have experiencing/experienced.... Here are a couple of mine...

1. Saddle bags on the backs of the seats coming undone CONSTANTLY. Very annoying.

2. Sunroof sliding cover slides up on it's own. It doesn't move much but, it's just enough to bother me... Honestly, not a big deal.

3. The fender badge is like a sponge. Everytime I wash my truck, the fender badges 'drain' for hours until they finally dry out. Just an occasional drip that runs down the side of the truck but, it always leaves a streak and thus, the quick detailer has to be used to clean her back up...

Can you all think of anything else?

I have not noticed any of these problems with my precious tomas....but then again I also do not drive him.....I do regularly dust him off though! and I sit in him and talk to him and tell him that I love him and as soon as the evil salt has been washed away I will drive him......
hmmm...I guess you can add complete insanity and obsessive compulsive disorder to the list of problem with the KR!

My compliant is the taillight housing. After a wash they drain dirty water out leaving streaks.

I have experienced the saddle bags and the tail lamp housing draining, but that's all I have had with mine.

The tailgate Housing do irritate me, but I have had both tail lights replaced twice now and I only have 2,100 miles on her. I also had a problem with the Paint on my Fender Badge flaking off (very littel piece) so they replaced it. I also got to keep the badge and turn it into a hitch cover like dufunnel's.

Other than that, it has been great.

2100 miles??? damn... I've had mine for 3 weeks and am about to break the 3000 mark! Looks like I may be hitting that 500,000 mark prety quick!

The only problem I have is the damn seat belt indicator! I am a little nerved about it...and the fact that I've gotten to where I can't stand to drive with the sunroof cover closed. I gotta have the sun now. I guess I get closrtophobic....but btw, the backseat is PERFECT for....um...guests...

Later!

if you are talking about the seat belt chime, that can be disabled. my salesman did it for me without even asking ahead of time. i'm not sure how to do it, or if that is mentioned in the owner's manual.

the only problem i've had is the occasional thunk i get when pulling up to a stop or right when i let off the brakes at say a stoplilght.

Yeah, I forgot about the mystery thunk. Mine only does it when accelerating from a stop. And even then, it doesn't do it all the time... more of a sporadic thing. It's odd. I like your theory about the rear brakes not releasing as fast as the front ones...

I agree with Rockpick. The fender badge drains forever. My wife got so pissed with the seat belt chime that she read the manual and disabled it. Other than its been great so far, mileage up to about 4200 miles in 6 weeks. That inclides a 3000 mile trip to Daytona over about 10 days.

OK here is a problem that probably only i as a chick will have and would actually be a blessing for ya'll men.....I drove tomas last night.....guess I should have warned ya'll to sit down before I laid that one on ya, but yes I drove him. When I got to a stop light and I turned to the right...yep I was driving in the fast lane.....I got the most evil look from a chick...apparently she assumed the driver of this marvolously gorgeous truck would be a guy.
