King Ranch get together?

ok here is what I have concluded....everybody seems a little skeptical about meeting at the KR in southern Texas.....is this because for the majority of us driving there would be a 3 day trip one way? I agree it is a bit far to drive and since they have no enthusiam in welcoming us why bother right?.....well, here is my drug enduced idea Why don't we all meet someplace a little more nutral.....any ideas? suggestions, cool places we could all meet?

Isn't it taboo to meet an online lover?? Or since it is truck related, does it matter? BTW...does anyone know if 3 10's will fit under the 60/40 bench seat???

I have plenty of great places to meet, but they would still be just as long of a drive.

Big Sur, CA
Zions National Park, UT
Moab, UT
Grand Tetons, WY
Colorado Springs, CO

and there is always Vegas!

Golfer71 those are all great places but I was hoping for something a little closer to the east coast.

Yeah, I know, but I live out in the west and don't know too many places to go there.

Yes, going to the KR would have been neat, but six days of driving to and from Texas is a little much when you only have nine days. We have off the first week of July through the 4th weekend.

Well, you'll never be able to find a place that is great for everyone as it will always be further for someone. The best bet is to meet in the middle of the country.

Kansas City would fit the bill, plus you could coordinate something with the Ford plant where our trucks were made. It would be a great publicity stunt. Maybe we could get a tour of the plant too.

OK, so who was it that had already been in contact with Ford? Or who knows anyone at the KC Plant?

A very good idea !
Do plants like the one in KC do factory visits like the ones we get here in the UK ?
I'm sure it would make some good publicity for a load of KR's to visit their birthplace.....
Count me in !

There are people who work at the KC plant on this board. Quiz some of the other forums and you can find a contact there.

Mikef150,

You think we could coordinate something with our 'contact' at Ford? Think she might be willing to help us with a potential 'get together' in Kansas?
