Question Aftermarket exhaust

k, time for a new question and a new thread ... one of the things I want to do with my new KR is replace the stock exhaust with something that breathes a little more freely and has some more rumble to it. Who else has done an exhaust upgrade ... thoughts? Options? I like some of what I've seen on the Gibson site, that seems like a top contender. Who's done what?

tjcannon,

Very good question. I've been kicking this around for my KR as well....

Hey Mike, you like your exhaust mod? If you don't mind me asking, how much? What does a decent exhaust mod cost these days? I'm looking for a little (*not much*) rumble and a little performance. I love the look as well.

Dufunnel had his exhaust run out the sides next to his running boards. Looks sweet. See his gallery for pics. Kinda curious to see and hear how much that cost as well.

ALL INSIGHT IS APPRECIATED!!

I have the Gibson Supertruck on my truck. It sounds great and I gained a lot on the low end. That with the y pipe and Gibson stainless headers has given me just what I want. The exhaust itself I found on the classifieds here for much less than new. Like was said, check my gallery pictures.

I just had a FLOWMASTER added to mine last week. I wanted the deep exhaust sound you get with FLOWMASTER. I think on cost all depends on where you go to have it done. I got mine for $240 installed. I know someone else that when he went to get his at a different muffler shop they charged him life $380 for the same setup.

Exhaust

I have a Flowmaster 40 series SIDO (Single in Dual Out) on mine with chrome tips straight out of the back. It has increased performance considerably on the top end (70-100 mph). It has a nice rumble while driving but a little louder in the back seat (back seat passengers say huh?? every once in awhile). No rattles squeaks or anything just a good mellow roar. Cost for this quality installation $300.00. A&B Muffler Arlington TX
