Check out this KR Price !

Go to this link to see how hard done by we are on this side of the Atlantic.
http://www.americancarimports.co.uk/...ail.asp?id=118

At least I can say I was surprised and pleased to at least see one for sale here and the pleasing way it was described.

You need to know that VAT (Value added tax) is currently 17% and the dollar is 1.36 to the pound at this moment.

NO I WONT BE BUYING IT HOWEVER MUCH I MISS MINE IN THE USA !!!

I'll look after mine like a baby then in a few years write the value down and bring it to the UK as a personal import.

Of course by then we will all be drooling over the F150 Retro Woody Wagon....or whatever!

Oh yes and if your maths isn't up to scratch or you can't be bothered it works out at nearly 60 grand.

Yeah...that's right
SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS !!!!

AND THE STEEERING WHEEL IS ON THE WRONG SIDE !!!!

That one actually appears like the steering wheel is on the 'United States' side.

Of course the KR in London is a left hooker.
In general it is not worth the manufacturing costs for US makers to rejig for RH drive.
GM tried it for a short while recently with some of their products but I think financially it was not worth it.
My first real car way back in the early 60's was a left hooker MG reimported to the UK from Canada., so I have always been used to them on our roads.
In general it is not a problem except when overtaking on a narrow road when you have to hold back further and pull out more to the middle of the road to see past what is being overtaken.
Nowadays with more and more people travelling with their cars on the continent LH isn't seen as such a disadvantage.
In fact only yesterday Mercedes announced that their latest SL supercar will be sold immediately in GB with LH drive to satisfy those who must have the latest cars.

The upcoming Mercedes / Maclaren, which will almost certainly be the worlds fastest most exotic most expensive vehicle will only be built in LH drive......even though like the older Maclaren F1, it is built exclusively here in England.
