Question What's the most popular KR color selected?

Okay KR Friends,

These are the latest stats:
As of today, the Charcoal Blues have us Chestnuts beat by three.
Also, the Blues have the Greens by 5, ooooppfffh.

So, as of 12 Jan 2002,

Chestnuts (7)
Charcoal Blue (10)
Estate Green (5)
Total trucks = (22)

Charcoal Blue = 45.5%
Chestnuts = 31.8%
Estate Green = 22.7%

I know, you all hate number crunchers right, well, sorry I can't help it.

Lets keep up with the stats and see how it turns out by the end of the first quarter. Half time should be real interesting, don't you think?

To help out, if your interested of course, just copy the above stats into a reply and change them as new KR owners/members join the appropriate color team. Looks like Charcoal Blue is out in front by a fair amount, but we're only in the first quarter so there's still plenty of time to score more points for all three colors.

I know some think this is silly but it looks like, if you want to be very unique in your KR, you'd buy a KR in Estate Green. Actually, the winner is really the color with the lowest percentage if one want's to remain unique with the KR. Only problem is that there are a bunch of other vehicles in Estate Green so it kind of offsets the special character with the KR.

I dunno....Screw it...Each to his own liking anyway 'cause we've each got to wash them and live with it!

Okay guys,

Congrats on two new KR members RockPick and Golfer71. Thanks for the updates and enjoy your trucks.

Here are the scores as of 18 Jan 2002

Chestnuts (9)
Charcoal Blue (10)
Estate Green (6)
Total trucks = (25)

Charcoal Blue = 40%
Chestnuts = 36%
Estate Green = 24%

Looks like the Chestnut gang is quickly gaining on the Charcoal Blues. Just one more Chestnut and we'll be tied.

Okay gang,

Here are the scores as of 19 Jan 2002

Chestnuts (10)
Charcoal Blue (10)
Estate Green (6)
Total trucks = (26)

Charcoal Blue = 38.5%
Chestnuts = 38.5%
Estate Green = 23%

Chestnut has finially caught up with Charcoal Blue. Oops, watch out blue, looks like chestnut's gonna be the color choice of Kings.

Wow, for having national exposure, the King Ranchers sure don't get out much. 26 trucks out of a possible 19,000 built in 2001 is not a very good turnout. Looks like the ones that are here on this site are true fans of the King Ranch. Other owners must be too busy herding cattle or making money to make their payments or just don't like the internet or computers.

Another Chestnut owner

Just wanted to let you know that I got 'mine' on Dec 28 as a Christmas gift from myself. I chose the Chestnut because it matched that beautiful brown saddle KR leather interior! I dressed it up with KR mud flaps, KR bedliner, and KR soft tonneau cover. I will eventually post a picture. For now just look at other pics on this forum.

Wink And the CHESTNUTTERS' TAKE THE LEAD!!

Sounds like us 'nutters' are officially in the lead on the count as of today!

I agree with ya. The chestnut looks GREAT with the leather. Compliment eachother very nicely.

Okay, we've won....stop the voting. hahahaha

Welcome KingCrew,

How do you like your KR Tonneau Cover?

Mine looks really sharp and compliments the truck nicely, but it leaks into the bed. When they installed mine, there were two 3/4" gaps on either end above the tailgate that lets rain and snow into the bed. Dealer said that it was designed that way and they didn't modify it (don't know if I believe them), but I'm retunring it anyway. We wanted the cover to protect items from getting wet in the bed, so back to the drawing board.

What other bed covers are out there that don't leak into the bed?

Thanks,

Adam

Cool KR cover

I think the cover looks really cooooool. I have not had any leakage yet, but since I live in Colorado rain is not a factor (15" per YEAR!). I will check out the fit at the front and rear and let you know. Sounds like your dealer did a poor install. I have not noticed any water getting in when I have washed the truck. What I do not like about the cover is that it does not roll up very tightly, so I just remove it altogether and put it in the house.

Okay KR friends,

Here are the scores as of 21 Jan 2002

Chestnuts (11)
Charcoal Blue (10)
Estate Green (6)
Total trucks = (27)

Chestnuts = 40.74%
Charcoal Blue = 37.04%
Estate Green = 22.22%

Chestnuts have finially caught up with Charcoal Blue and surpased them by one. Okay blues, don't worry too much about us Chestnuts 'cause there's got to be some more owners out there that are just holding out until the last minute to change the score with 10 seconds remaining.
