Ripped/Scratched seat?
I have had my new KR about 2 weeks now and love it. I noticed a few days after I purchased the vehicle it had a scratch about 3-4 inches long on the passenger seat. When I rub my figer over it, it almost feels like the seats leather was sone(excuse my spelling!) together from the inside of the leather. I called my salesman and left him a message about it and told him I will be in with the truck. Do you think Ford will replace my seat cushion and will the color match with the rest of my leather in the truck. Thanks for the replies. Also, Does anyone have mudflaps on their King Ranch?
not sure about your seats...i am sorry it must be painful...but...i do have the KR mud flaps...they are dinky and really don't do a lot off good, but i like them...got them from the dealer and they installed them for free...i think the guy in the body shop has a thing for me so i pretty much get whatever i want from him...i would show you a pic, but my camera is still in the shop getting fixed...i will post it whenever i get it back though.
Scratches on leather.....
Now you know why the leather in the KR's is described as unique to each vehicle....also this ties in with why the leather in Rolls Royce and Bentley Cars is so expensive.
To obtain perfect blemish free leather RR and Bentley obtain their hides from Scandinavia where there are very few barbed wire fences....the reason you have the "Unique" leather in the KR's.
Fords way of saying it will not be blemish free!
Nevertheless the markings do add to the charm of each vehicle UNLESS the mark is too obtrusive, in which case certainly if it looks like a repair...ask for a replacement.
I have been fortunate to visit RR at Crewe in England on several occasions. Both the leather and wood finishing departments are a joy to behold..... and to get blemish free seating etc. takes a fair few hides !
