New 2011 KR EB Photos
I just picked up my new 2011 King Ranch EB this past Saturday. The wait was tough, but was sure worth it. I am totaly impressed with everything about this truck. I have not found anything that I would not have wanted done differently.
Placed my order on December 31st received VIN # on March 8th, truck was built on March 24th, and picked up from dealer on April 2nd.

What kind of "bumper hole" filler grille is that? Did you get it through your dealer or what? BTW, your truck looks amazing. I had a 2005 KR, and loved every minute of it. The new leather looks nice. I love the tan piping on the seats...not soo sure about the preferations, only because of cleaner/conditioner getting down in the holes. But that looks soooo nice! Congrats!

The lower billet grill is from Carriage Works Part #44383. It is listed as a 2009 Ford F-150, but is the same part for the 2011. I purchased it from Auto Anything. See attached link: http://www.autoanything.com/billet-g...33-b-441846313

Great looking truck but, I have to say it again in the public eye - I'm disappointed in the direction that Ford has taken the interior.
[rant on] When FoMoCo introduced the King Ranch in model year 2001, it was truly something that was unique. The color combos were only available on the King Ranch and the interior was something that was said to rival that of various VERY high end vehicles. I owned one and loved it so much that I was coaxed to purchase a 2005...
Since then though, I'm very disappointed in where the interior - the main selling feature of the truck - has gone. The leather is not nearly as thick and the attention to detail is lacking. While we've retained a 'unique' color, the 2011 F-150 (and previous Super Duty) seemingly all have 'coated' leather seats versus that of an aniline hide. While I understand a certain level of economics played in to the mix, I feel that Ford went down a road that diverged away from what made the truck stand apart from the rest.
To me, the KR is nothing more than a 'brown leather' interiored truck; similar to that of the Limited, regular Lariat, or even XLT with a leather package. Frankly, the uniqueness cannot be had by folding mirrors and beige plastic trim accents alone.
It's a great truck, it's beautiful, and the EB (I own one in my wife's Flex) is amazing -- I've driven the F-150 2011 with all engines personally (even have driven serial #1 of the limited edition Harley Davidson) at a Media Day event but, the prestige of owning a KR has been stripped by those in accounting that leaned too heavily on warranty work issues versus education to owners who purchased aniline leather interiors.
