Just found a KR for 6200

So I just ran across a 2003 F150 KR with 88000 miles for $6,200. The pictures looked solid and i'm going to go take a look at it in the next few days hopefully. I saw it and couldn't believe the price was so low. What do yall think?

I think that there is something not right ! KBB puts that truck (in my zipcode) at $13K+
Why somebody would dump it for $6200 would certainly make me wonder.
There is always a chance that this is a legit sale and there are extenuating circumstances that dictate such a low price price. It certainly can't hurt to go look at it and ask lots of questions. Get a carfax on it and see what it will show for the trucks history. I think if it were me looking to purchase it, I would want a mechanic knowledgable of F-150's to go over it thoroughly

wayyyyy to cheap, if its on craigslist then its a scam GUARANTEED. But if its not and you get it i will take the bed cover and the wheels and tires. What the hell would you call that on the front bumper

Edit: wonder if they forgot to put a 1 in front of the 6? I paid 13,500 2 1/2 years ago for mine with 77,000miles on it

I hadn't thought of that but you may be onto something.

The price was confirmed at 6200 in an email. I asked to see it and gave her my number. If I don't get a response than we know what that means

By all means, follow through with your initial inquiry. You never know, you could have just stumbled onto the deal of the year. As long as you go in with both eyes open you will be fine. Listen to you're gut instinct and remember the old adage.
If it sounds to good to be true, then it usually is.
I will be interested to see how this turns out so please keep us informed. If it all turns out legit and you pick up that truck it for $6200, then let me be the first to say "You suck"

Good Luck

Still no email back. But now I have to go clean up my truck to put it on the market..I've been slacking in that department

Also another reason why Im anxious about this is because a guy I worked with got a '03 KR over the summer for $3,000. Some girl he knew didn't want a truck daddy bought her so she practically gave it to him, needless to say I was jealous.

I'm skeptical. If the truck is in good shape and everything seems legit, it's a great deal, though! Good luck!

The more I look at the thing on the front end, it looks like a standard bull bar / cow catcher thing that somebody purposly mounted low. If you picture it moved up about 12" 0r so, it fits right in with my thinking. I can't tell if it was originally supposed to wrap the bumper or wrap the grill and headlights. If it is moved up to wrap the headlights it looks like it would put the bar with the 2 lights on it above the hood. I think it was originally designed as a bumper guard / push bar. I will say that it does create an interesting one off type look. I can't say I love it, but I also won't say I hate it. I will play it safe and say that it is just interesting and differant.

If this is legit, that is one hell of a deal. I wouldn't hesitate one second. Tell them you will take it for their full asking price as long as they don't mind if you take it to a mechanic to get it checked out.

Good luck!

"First of all...shipping is included in the price.
The car is already at the shipping company in Manhattan,NY ,(i moved here after divorce) sealed and ready for the shipping.
I have a contract with eBay so this deal must go through them. You have 5 days to decide if you keep it or not.If you decide not to keep it...you have to ship it back with the same shipping company for no costs.Fair enough ? If so..let me know your full name and address including zip code so we can proceed.
You will send me the money only after you will receive and test the car

Thank you!"

Yep so it was a scam, figured.
