Trading '08 King Ranch for '10 platinum should I?

Dealership is offering me $31000 real money for my 08 King Ranch. It only has 7900 miles on it. Loaded with everything except nav. I'd like to hear some honest opinions. I am an X plan member and also there is $3500 rebate on the platinum. Drops down to around 41000. It has nav, rear camera, the works.

So, you can trade for $10,000? I would do it.

That's the thing. I owe 28,500 on my king ranch and they're giving me 31000 for mine. Trying to convince the wife that this is a good deal. You know how that goes!

So you'd essentially be trading a 28.5k truck note for a 38.5k truck note. I have a 2009 Platinum 4x4 and absolutely love it, but it just depends how much of an upgrade you consider the Platinum to be from your King Ranch.

Have your finance company figure out what your payments are going to be on the new loan. You're *close* to being upside down on that 08. Might be a good idea. Get a brand new truck for the same payment plus, what, 2 years onto the length of the loan. I'd do it.

If only it were as easy to fix the problem that this country has as it is to create it.

Seems like a good deal, but why not a '10 KR? The power running boards are nice, but I would still prefer the overall look (and interior) of the KR. Either way, sounds like you will be happy!

Well......no deal! Payments would have raised about $100 on the month. As far as a new king ranch goes, I'm not too crazy about the new style of leather that they r using. It is just me but that white bead around the edge is not that appealing to me. Kind of disappointed the way they stamped the logo in the seats also. I guess I am going to keep it, pay it off and enjoy the ride.

Sorry to hear that for you. Personally, I like white around the KR seats. It reminds me of the piping that Land Rover uses on the Range Rover.

I'm not a fan of the piping either. I also do not like the different color logo insert nor the loss of the flaps on the seatback pocket on the 2011 Super Duty version.
