It would be nice to have a tonneau cover match the bedrails but it's been futile attempt to find something. Ford could have done KR owners a major service to offer a pueblo gold matching tonneau cover as an genuine Ford accessory but they haven't.

Do you know of a tonneau vendor that makes a close matching tan/pueblo gold cover?

 

In 2001, they had one... even KR-specific... No such luck since...



Oh yeah... they had a Arizona Beige drop in as well...

 

To be honest, I'm not looking for a logo on the thing, just something matching or close to pueblo gold. The current black tonneau cover is looking a bit worn (5 yrs old).

If Ford was smart, they would offer a tan tonneau as an accessory item for KR owners. I'm sure there's demand for such a thing. But I think you'll see Martians on earth before Ford does that.

 

My point was only that it was, at one time, offered. It didn't sell well (mainly due to the extraordinary price).

 

Thanks for the info. I'm sure the Ford and King Ranch logos cost a pretty penny or two (trademarked logos - licensing costs) on that tonneau cover you have shown.

Probably a good alternative would be visiting a local awning place to see if they carry a tan vinyl close to the KR pueblo gold.
