Leather CLEANER

I know a lot has been said on what conditioner to use, but what about a good, safe, leather cleaner? I just got my KR last week and I want to condition the seats. I know I should clean them first, but I wasnt sure what to use. I just ordered some KR conditioner from the KR Saddle Shop. I also have some Obenauf and some Lexol. I know the Lexol Cleaner is EVIL for the KR leather. My wife it going to pick up some Leather CPR for me tomorrow at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Nevertheless, when I use the KR condition what should I clean my seats with it? Should I clean them every time I condition?

You certainly don't need to...and in fact shouldn't, clean them every time you condition the leather.
How dirty is the leather? What is the age of your vehicle?

In fact in all the vehicles with KR leather I have owned I have never had to clean as such.
But I've been fortunate to own the vehicles from new.
Once you feel the leather is clean, conditioning will keep it in tip top order, unless you subject the interior to more than average harsh treatment.
Look at the leather "Sticky" above and you will find that different methods of cleaning suit different people, and climate conditions in fact!
However from what I have seen over the years by way of comment the leather CPR you mention should do the trick.

Hey Lenticular,

Its a 2007 and I bought it used, but the previous owner looks like they took care of the seats. I uploaded some pictures to the gallery here if you'd like to see the seats.

I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast where its always hot and humid. I read several post from the sticky before posting here, but most of it was on conditioning the seats. Not much on cleaning them. I just saw a lot on not using the Lexol cleaner and how Leather CPR works well. If you get a chance, looks at my pictures and see if you think they look like they even NEED cleaning. Maybe they don't. Thanks for your help!

Difficult to tell from the photos except the drivers backrest looks slightly grubby from what I can see, but on the whole the seats just look dry.

Just try conditioning a couple of times....perhaps just several weeks apart, and see how they come up.

Good luck.
