Well, Here She Is!

The new Supercrew finally came in. Picked her up last night. Boy, what a difference from the 2007 F-250 AND the last 2007 F-150 Lariat. These King Ranches are PHENOMINAL!

There are more pictures in my gallery, including a photo of the MIchelin LTX's I had put on. What a tire!

The Michelin LTX is the best all around tire I have ever run. I have put them on my least 2 trucks and my Expedition. Great is all weather, smooth on the highway and very long lasting.

Hey, thanks for all the comments.

The LTX's that I put on are the newest rendition, the LTX AT/2... slightly different from the original LTX. I put them on because I tow a decent sized travel trailer, and I have 20" wheels. There were no othere options except the BFG T/A KO's, which would have cost about $100 more. Michelin owns BFG (or vice versa), and all I could fine was rave reviews on the LTX's - but smaller sizes. Even BFG direct pushed me to the LTX's. NO regrets so far, except they dont ride like the 18" Rugger Trails on my 2007 Supercrew. The sidewall is stii, but the ride is still moons above my 2007 F-250 I just traded.

Lastly, I do go outin the woods in the fall and winter, and I was hard pressed to find a real supporter of the Pirelli ATR's in the snow and ice. The flat-spotting issue alone was reason enough for me to trade out with the dealer for a few hundred buck instead of trying to do it later for $1,300 after the Pirelli's were used. On a side note, had I got the standard 18" rims on the KR, I would have upgraded to the Goodyear Wranglers for the $325 list from Ford, but I wanted the 20's. These LTX's are larger in height and width by enough to look better, but not enough to matter on mileage or drag... I think. They are deeper tread than the Pirelli's and the BFG T/A's, though. Reports to follow after a few miles on them.

Thanks for the tire education ! I have the 20" wheels too but with the standard Pireilli's. I hunt in the winter time but GA rarely gets any snow, ice yes ! Let me know how you like the tires after you get them broken in .

It's beautiful. I like the trailer tow mirrors. You don't often see those on the King Ranch.

Oh, I am enjoying Rock! The more I drive it, the more I'm in love. This is probably the nicest truck I've ever had. The leather is unreal. I actually wasn't keen on the Mahogny color, but I figured if I was getting a King Ranch, I wanted a color only a Ranch could have - something that made truck buffs know at a distance it was a Ranch... like the copper I still salivate after.

Rambo, the mirrors are precicely the reason I ordered... that and the 35.7 gallon tank. I don't know, but if this truck keeps me as happy in a year as it has in one day, I may have to tell the boss we need drive it longer than the normal year - and hopefully the mileage on the odometer won't kill us!

I found one soft dent probably received in shipping that the dealer will have removed by "dentless". Unfortunately, it is right on the roll in the top of the front passenger's quarter panel and it gathers light and says "here I am... look at me". Darn! I don't really wan't to part with it for a day to drive some stinky Taurus loaner.

Well, I'm off to configure my weight distribution hitch, install my Prodigy, install the vent visors, my AF1, and get some Husky liners. I sure wish my MBRP would have gotten here before the long weekend. Oh, yeah... I will also read the strategy and PCM code to get some tunes on the way. Yeeee haw!
