White residue after KR conditioner

OK guys I conditioned the leather on all my seats and the front 2 have a slight white resiude on them, while i noticed the rear seats do not.

What is the cause of this and how can i clean it up? I am thinking about wiping all the seats down with a damp cloth, thoughts?

My opinion, is that you put it on a little to thick. Think of the conditioner as you would lotion, and the leather being skin. It can absorb only so much. I believe that if it was me, I might use a soft cloth, and distilled water.

I use a handtowel or washcloth. Microfiber is definitely an upgrade, so I would have to say yes. Not sure what else would be better. Just some type of cloth that does not leave fibers, or would leave a dye behind that discolored the seats.

The white residue is a common issue with the KR Conditioner, you can just buff it out with a clean cloth....it doesn't have anything to do with how much you apply, I've tried both alot and not much at all and it consistently leaves a white residue, which is one of the primary reasons I don't use the KR Conditioner any more.

I am currently using Leather CPR, and its great...no residue and it dries in just a few minutes.

I did order some KR conditioner this afternoon though, I've never tried it and wanted to give it a shot!

I guess I have been lucky so far. I just did my seats again today with the KR Conditioner and not a sign of white.

The first time, no white. The second time, a little white. I just deduced that is really did not need much conditioner the second time. Also the first time, I used a rag to apply, and the second time I used my hand...maybe too much?

I bet using your hand would leave a ton of excess. If your hand was absorbing alot I would recommend seeing a good dermatologist.

I just got my KR conditioner and used it for the first time...WOW, what a scent, my truck smells like a tack room! I actually used my hands too cause the rag just soaked it up, but I didn't use too much. I followed the hand rubbing with a quick wipe down from the rag, and I have no white residue at all. That is going to be method going forward with the KR.

I sure do like the smell of it. Makes the seats look nice also.
