What's Missing
What's Missing
I just bought 2008 Stone Green Ford F-150 King Ranch about a week ago now. The truck is great but there are a few minor things that make little sense to me. First why put the IPOD hook up on top of the dash? Why not place it somewhere level with the radio or below so your cord is not hanging down. I do have the navigation system so that might have something to do with the placement. Second the cup holders should be side by side behind the shifter. I bump my coffee sometimes coming across with it. Third the mammoth glove box should have a light in it. It should also have another cigarette lighter hook up for charging your phone without everything hanging in the open. The seats should have electric reclining as well. For 48 grand I was amazed they went so cheap on that. These are just my opinions on a few things that could make it a little nicer. My previous car was a Acura so maybe I expect a little to much. Anyone else agree or disagree?
I have thought that the Ipod input could be placed in a different location, but it was a minor change that they had to implement without redesigning the dash. I never noticed an issue with the placement of the cupholders. I thought the power ports were great. I do tend to use the one on the back side of the flow though console though so the wires are not all over the dash. I just run the wire along the seats.
I think I have gone in my glove box probably 2 times since I've bought this thuck. I would rather see a light in the console.

It seems the ipod hook-up is in a good location. emmitt 240 you even stated so yourself. The cord will not hang in front of the radio where it is now.
Ditto on the center console light, the center console is my glovebox. The main glovebox is too far over for me.
Never thought about power seatback. I adjusted my back once when the truck was new - maybe there are others who need to constantly readjust the seat back.

Is it just me? I swear my seat is electric recline. Like Glenn said, I haven't adjusted but once or twice, but i swear i have power adjust on all portions of my seat.
I actually like the cupholders where they are but thats just personal preference. And as for the glove box, i don't use it but am suprised that it doesn't lock. That is something i completely looked over and have yet to notice.
hmfic, you have one great lookin' KR
and Glenn, i don't know if i ever said thank you for sending those pics of your head unit. if not Thanks!

Jaw I did not actually spend 48k for it. That is what it stickered for. It has the nav, audiophile, and head rest DVD's so I am sure the add ons played a big part in that. They came off 12 grand from what the sticker was. I guess that is a good point about not adjusting the seat much. I was just a little suprised all of it was not power.
