I would say that's a safe bet - but just me betting on a hunch here, I have no inside information (I wish I did though! )

The quad captains would be nice, especially if the back half of the cab is a little larger than in the '04-'08 generation.

The quad seating was nice, but impractical for many. While I'd concur with you guys that I'd like to see it as an option, I think it'd potentially be a negative to force it as the only way to go... remember, 2001 & 2002 had the quad seating.

Are we certain that there will be a 2009 KR? In years' past, the second year of production has yielded the botique models (with the exception of the first year for the SuperCrew - 2001).

I just bought an 07 KR...I would have bought the Lariat if the KR had quads. As an option, quads would be cool, but I wanted the extra seating.

It looked like one of the exterior shots had the KR badge, the 08 Super Duty was launched with the KR as immediately available, only the Harley version was delayed...

there was a king ranch on the thirty minute press release video. they didnt talk about it or show it up close. we have seen the outside of it know its coming......so i guess it will be there at launch. either way im waiting on the diesel option in 2010.

i know some need the seating space so quad chairs is out-but they have offered it before and they offer it now on the superduty.

i was just asking a question i figured you guys already nailed down somehow

I've been pretty far out of the game since the 'inside guy' in Materials in Dearborn took an early retirement... *shrugs* He was my insider bit of information... heck, we knew about the Chaparral change in the Super Duty about 3 years ago.

Lenny has had a person or three on the inside too but, I suspect that his obsession with obtaining 'insider information' has gently subsided - as has mine.

Remember, some of us here have been doing this obsessive-compulsive disorder thing with the King Ranch edition since 2000.

On the new trucks we are no longer the top dog. The KR is now just a regular production model between the Lariat and Platinum. I have not been able to find anything that shows the differences, yet. Also, from the one interior pic that I have seen the leather does not look like the Chaparrel. It looks a little lighter than the Castno with light colored piping on the edges.

Edit:
I found the interior pic.

Looks Chaparral'ish to me!

Nice find... I've been avoiding trying to find out about it because I tend to 'get the bug' in short order. Heck, I bet John already has one on order? HA!

Actually, we've always been 'just another production truck'. KR's aren't numbered... there's no limitations on production numbers... the long and short is that if it's ordered, it'll be built. I wish they would've numbered and limited production... oh well.

Is it me or does the console lid look to be darker than the steering wheel? The driver's seat has a nasty glare on it making it hard to tell for sure but the wheel looks to be very close to my KR.

Which shadow? I see like three or four different ones. The pic is suckey for judging the actual color of the leather but does give us a little bit of an idea. I think we will need a a pic with better lighting to tell for sure. However, in all my ogling the new interior I did happen to notice the hot brunette in the windshield.
