Rum sauce on 3 hour old seats

I picked my new 2008 king Ranch up from the dealer Yesterday.

Last night we go out to eat. My wife gets bread pudding to go and puts it in the backseat on the way home. The rum raisen sauce spilled on my seats. Its a huge black spot on the seat. I tried to clean it with a hot towel, It did not help. Is there anything that will lift up this ugly black spot?

Your best bet is the hot towel, as well as applying some leather conditioner (likeBlack Rock). I have taken out some small stains that way. Also, you will be suprised how stains may fade away some with time. Regardless, that is too bad about your truck. Congrats on the buy, boo for the spill.

Why do people (wimmin) insist on putting their cargo on the seat??? On the way to the in-laws for some get together, she brings a glass dish of food and puts it on the back seat. of course I wait till she's all buckled up and ready to roll before I mention that at the first stop sign at the corner, the food will be all over the floor. Get out and set it on the floor to begin with. It will have no where to fall to. And if it spills, it will just get on the towel your gonna put under it.

I recommend immediate and aggressive cleaning action. Consider Connolly leather cleaner (follow the directions for mixing but use warm or hot water) and don't be afraid to scrub aggressively with a sponge or soft towel. Then dry with a different towel. I have been through some pretty major battles and this was ultimately what prevailed for me...

I had almost the same thing happen to me a couple weeks after I got my 06. My spill was oil from onion rings. Left the black spot on the front seat. Cleaning it only help a little, but over time the spot has faded. Besides alittle discoloring adds to the look.

Is this a F150 or F250? The reason for the question, the 08 SD KR leather is different than the 08 F150.

get a picture...post it.

I wish the King Ranch came with the same leather on the lariat but in the king ranch color scheme, I hate having to worry about little spills.

By the way it is a 2008 F-150. What's the difference in the leather?

F150's are still using Castano leather, the SD's have moved to Chapperal. (SP)

They are different.
