2009 King Ranch a Reality?

Hard call here... the leather may have totally changed.

Observations:

1. Two tone color (see side of pass seat)
2. No KR emblems anywhere to be seen.
3. White stitching on console leather.
4. White stitching on steering wheel.
5. Looks to be 'full leather' seating surface - not a pleather/leather combo (full leather only available in the KR in the past). The leather looks analine to me (i.e.: uncoated).

What do you guys and gals think?

Is the 2009 KR a no-go?

No word on it yet. My inside information guy in materials retired. Also, I think Lenticular's inside information guy is out of the picture as well.

I've done a tad of digging with some 'not so reliable' sources but haven't come up with jack-diddly-doo. Historically, the first model year didn't have botique models (2001 was the exception with the KR and SuperCrew).

It's way too "junked up" to get a real feel for it, but it would seem this is Ford's continued reaction to warranty claims for leather issues? Since I plan to have my '05 for another decade or two (have yet to break 13k mi), I guess I'm OK with whatever they do. In fact, I suppose this sort of a depature might just make what we have now all the more rare 20 or so years down the line (assuming they're maintained properly). I can't wait for the first KR to bring in a cool million at a "classic" car show out in Vegas some years down the line...
