KR Copper color

I am a some what new KR owner (July) copper in color always been a Ford owner. I am trying to find a mud / splash guard that will look good on my truck. With the tan/gold color on the bottom all I can find is black...Help.... In Utah lots of snow and the mud/dirt gets all over my chrome step rails. I had a leveling kit put on the front that was a good move the truck sets level and looks much better.

I haven't looked too much in to this - but would it be possible to sand and paint any of the black guards you've found?

I don't know how well the paint would hold up to road salts/mud/whatever else, so finding an already colored set would be ideal.

First and foremost, Welcome to f150online!

Unfortunately, your only hope for something like this is to have them painted to match... sorry!

In the past, some people have gone with a black mud guard and painted it Az Beige. Ford also had an OEM mud guard in AZ Beige, which I finally found on ebay and have on my KR.

I've got an '03, and haven't kept real close attention to the color changes over the years, so I'm not sure what color you'll need. Search fordparts.com and ebay to see if there are any in your color, and search the forums here on how to paint the flaps if you can't find one molded in the color you want. Good luck!

FYI, the color is called Dark Copper officially by Ford.

You can have Line-X spray them to match, worth a shot.

I wish I'd thought about that ... good idea!

Say I wanted to get the bed of my truck done - how close of a match will it be and will it fade? (I supposed this would also apply to the mud flaps)

Thanks for the info. I worry about how well the paint will hold up under the pressure of mud, snow and road salt. I guess the best is to check with a body shop.
